The story

“DIME SI AÚN ME QUIERES…” (from the series “Chronicle of a Heartbreak”) – In an era that pulses with elegance and mystery, our stage is set: a 1920s ballroom. The venue oozes elegant decadence, where the echoes of the Foxtrot and the clinking of glasses merge souls in an ethereal dance.
In the heart of this world, a lady’s eyes reflect hope tinged with melancholy, contemplating the uncertain horizon of love.
She looks like a dream come true, her hair framed by soft waves that fall elegantly. The soft light caresses her skin, highlighting the grace of her face. Holding a cigarette, she is wearing an outfit that is not made of cloth, but a masterpiece of silver bones. She covers her figure with a skeletal splendor, each stroke of brilliance is similar to the stars in the night, creating constellations in her wake.
Her gaze dances with memories of distant notes, traveling through countless nights intertwined in the dance with her lover. A love born in the shadows now faces the harsh light of dawn.
Time seems to stop, a moment suspended for two hearts to chart their course. Will they muster the courage to express the unspoken words that pirouette in their minds?
‘DIME SI AÚN ME QUIERES…’, the inaugural piece of the series composed of 3 photograph, seek to capture the heartbeat of a love trapped between hope and resignation. In this ballroom lie secrets from countless fleeting tales. For these two lovers, it could be the scene of an eternal denouement.
I did this Catrina makeup for the national celebrations in Mexico last month, however while creating the concept I went further… I am fascinated with the movies and series of this time, one of my favorites is “The Peaky Blinders” ( a series It’s the fourth time I’ve seen it and I’m not bored), I’m obsessed with the urban environments and the atmosphere of the dance halls of that time, the music…and of course the romantic stories couldn’t go unnoticed.

It is important to avoid direct contact with sunlight. If you want to save the artwork, instead of having it exposed, it should be done in a drawer and protected with a tissue paper or any other soft paper.

If you exhibit the artwork in a room, it must be protected by glass or methacrylate with UV protection.

If you want to frame it, the materials must be acid free as well as the passepartout. If the frame is made of wood and is in direct contact with the photo, it must be made of natural wood and without varnish.

Adhesives must also be acid free. If not, any other adhesive could leave yellow marks and deteriorate the support.

The work should never be touched directly with the hands in order to avoid leaving traces of grease or moisture. You have to touch it with cotton gloves like the ones that we enclose inside the package.

Do not screw the photograph back on after it has been removed from the tube in case you have received it like that.

Store the work in a cool, dry place preferably at a room temperature between 10º and 30º with a relative humidity between 49% and 60%.

If you have acquired more than one photograph, they should never be touched between them since the surface is very sensitive. You should always put a tissue paper or, at least, another soft paper between the both of them.

Receive a thoughtful touch with every purchase – a pair of pristine white cotton gloves and a personalized postcard.

To ensure the safe delivery of your artwork, we take utmost care in packaging. Depending on the size, your piece will be shipped flat or rolled in a secure tube, carefully encased in bubble wrap for maximum protection.
