A.P. Prints are delivered rolled and in a sturdy postal tube. Due to their size, I recommend that larger prints are handled by a professional framer. 

Please note that my prints are shipped unframed, allowing you the flexibility to choose a frame that perfectly complements your taste and decor. Also I offer to framed them with an extra cost.

It is important to avoid direct contact with sunlight. If you want to save the artwork, instead of having it exposed, it should be done in a drawer and protected with a tissue paper or any other soft paper.

If you exhibit the artwork in a room, it must be protected by glass or methacrylate with UV protection.

If you want to frame it, the materials must be acid free as well as the passepartout. If the frame is made of wood and is in direct contact with the photo, it must be made of natural wood and without varnish.

Adhesives must also be acid free. If not, any other adhesive could leave yellow marks and deteriorate the support.

The work should never be touched directly with the hands in order to avoid leaving traces of grease or moisture. You have to touch it with cotton gloves like the ones that we enclose inside the package.

Do not screw the photograph back on after it has been removed from the tube in case you have received it like that.

Store the work in a cool, dry place preferably at a room temperature between 10º and 30º with a relative humidity between 49% and 60%.

If you have acquired more than one photograph, they should never be touched between them since the surface is very sensitive. You should always put a tissue paper or, at least, another soft paper between the both of them.

“Alter Ego Artificial” – Surrealist Self Portrait made by Artificial Intelligence, recreated with Optical Illusion Cubism Makeup and Edited with PhotoShop.

Embracing AI as a complement to my art, I recreated the AI portrait with skillful 2D illusion makeup. Harmoniously fused, it blurs the lines between reality and technology, resonating a surreal message. Embracing the creative potential of technology, I explore the fascinating intersection of makeup, photography, and painting.

Much is said about artificial intelligence and its use in the art industry is one of the most controversial topics… does it exceed human creativity? Will it replace the artists? is it ethical? A couple of months ago I was playing with Tik Tok filters and it occurred to me to try the AI portrait filter… and then I thought: what if I recreate this portrait with makeup? First, a bit to prove myself and my skills, since it’s a body painting that required great skill to achieve the effect of 2D optical illusion.

Then because, instead of being scared or worried about the use of AIs, I rather want to explore and exploit their use as a tool that complements my artistic work. The truth is that the AI did it quite well, studying the proportions used to create the different shapes of the face, it seems to me that it really achieves a cubist style with sense, as I made up each part I verified that the shapes were based on my real proportions and that I was very excited!

Well, I really felt embodied in that image. In the final result I integrated the original image and the makeup with the intention of transmitting a “surreal” message… both harmoniously fused, you don’t know where one begins and the other ends. All derived from a very detailed editing work with Photoshop (which is linked to my recent foray into professional photography editing).

Recreating the “recreation” and appropriating it definitely re signified it… that’s why I called it “Alter Ego Artificial”. For me, combining makeup, photography and painting with technology, far from being a threat… it’s turning out to be quite an interesting process… I’ll keep exploring and experimenting and we’ll see what happens…
